HAITI: Lavalas torn over response to Jean-Juste's exclusion
The pro-Aristide Fanmi Lavalas (FL) has been thrown into turmoil by the electoral commission's decision to refuse the registration of their
presidential candidate, Gérard Jean-Juste [WR-05-37]. While the group of former senators managing the registration process has provisionally
written in the name of one of their number, grassroots leaders have started announcing that Lavalas will not take part at all if Jean-Juste is not allowed to run.
