BOLIVIA: Rodrí­guez 'will resign' if elections are delayed

President Eduardo Rodrí­guez is trying the kind of brinkmanship that served his predecessor Carlos Mesa well on one occasion, but failed him - and cost him his post - the second time round. He has announced that he will resign the moment he is informed that the elections scheduled for 4 December must be delayed as a result of a constitutional tribunal ruling.
