Tracking Trends

COLOMBIA | GDP growth loses some momentum. In the second quarter Colombia's GDP grew by 4.58%, leaving the first-half total up 5.3%. The main driving forces in the first half were trade (up 10.2%), construction (up 9.2%) and commerce (up 8.98%); mining grew by 3.3%, agriculture by 3.04% and manufacturing by 1.88%. It is worth noting that manufacturing increased its rate of growth in the second quarter, while most others saw it decline.
