VENEZUELA: Chávez to expel 'CIA-linked' Bible translators

President Hugo Chávez celebrated the Day of Indigenous Resistance (12 October) by handing out land titles and farming implements to indigenous communities - and announcing that he would soon be decreeing the expulsion of the New Tribes Mission (NTM) from Venezuela, on the grounds that it has been 'violating Venezuelan sovereignty' and that some of its members worked for the CIA and provided the US with 'sensitive' information.
