JAMAICA: Row over killed gang leader's 'PNP connection'

Just a few days shy of its first anniversary, Operation Kingfish, the 'intelligence-driven' anti-crime task force scored a coup that has touched a political nerve: in a swoop on Rock River, Clarendon, police killed notorious gang leader Donovan Bennett ('Bulbie') - then blamed the ruling People's National Party (PNP) for providing his Clansman gang with the protection that allowed it to thrive for so long. The opposition Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has lost no time taking advantage of the opportunity.
