GUATEMALA | Remittances headed for US$3bn mark. Remittances by Guatemalan expatriates this year will reach US$3bn, according to a survey conducted by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Last year remittances reached a record US$2.55bn, which made them Guatemala's second-largest source of hard currency, after exports, which totalled US$4.96bn.
