ECUADOR-COLOMBIA: Ecuador protests 'incursion by Colombian military'

Ecuador has protested an alleged Colombian military incursion into its territory, arguably the hottest spill-over so far in Colombia's internal conflict, only days before the military chiefs of the Andean countries are due to meet Southern Command chief Bantz Craddock in Quito. The incursion, leaked to the media on 11 November by military sources, was at first denied by the Ecuadorean navy and, later, the Colombian police.
