NICARAGUA-COSTA RICA: Managua continues to keep tensions high

The easing of Nicaragua's political crisis has not been accompanied by a parallel easing of President Enrique Bolaños's belligerent response to Costa Rica's submission of the San Juan river dispute to the International Court of Justice (ICJ). On the contrary verbal exchanges have continued to escalate and acts of petty assertiveness by Nicaragua have been multiplying.
