TRINIDAD & TOBAGO: Raid on Jamaat mosques ends as fiasco

It was meant to have been the big security coup of the year: on 10 November the authorities ordered the arrest of Yasin Abu Bakr, leader of the Jamaat al Muslimeeen, and launched a combined police-army operation to raid his organisation's mosques and his two homes in search of evidence linking him to the recent string of bombings in and around Port of Spain. The yield, though it might put Abu Bakr behind bars, was well below expectations.
