Development: Argentina's largest opposition party, the Unión Cí­vica Radical (UCR), has welcomed President Néstor Kirchner's call for greater co-operation between the radicals and the ruling Partido Justicialista (PJ). Having surprisingly requested that he be able to speak at a UCR ceremony on 29 July, Kirchner asked his opponents to put an end to the 'constant fighting' with the government.
