Victory over US claimed by Chávez & Castro is not quite what they seem to believe

Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez left the Summit of the Americas proclaiming that it had been an 'utter defeat' for the US. His jubilation was echoed in Havana where the government of President Fidel Castro was also celebrating the biggest-ever vote in the UN General Assembly calling for the lifting of the US embargo. Other developments, however, suggest that these events do not add up the way Chávez and Castro think.
