EL SALVADOR: Tourism generated US$207m in the first half of the year, 6.8% up on the same period in 2003, according to the tourism ministry. El Salvador received 470,000 tourists of which the bulk (68%) came from neighbouring Central American nations. Tourists from North America accounted for 25% of the total, the ministry said.
