Development: The government has decided to give Marta Suplicy a major helping hand in her campaign for re-election as mayor of São Paulo. According to José Genoí­no, the national president of Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT), the idea is to 'intensify the campaign'. Genoí­no said in São Paulo on 8 September that the government has instructed ministers to show support for Marta.
