DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: 'Pink Alliance' breeds internal problems
The 'Pink Alliance' between the Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD) and the Partido Reformista Social Cristiano (PRSC) has not been going down well with members of either party, particularly those who are being forced to abandon their hopes of running for congressional or municipal office as part of the list-sharing compact. Over the past week the dissent has provoked one act of violence and one major defection.
