PARAGUAY: Duarte and court panel face impeachment

President Nicanor Duarte faces the threat of impeachment, along with the five justices who sit on the supreme court's constitutional panel. The reason: the latter surprisingly ruled in favour of a suit filed by Duarte to be allowed to hold the presidency of the ruling Colorado party as well as the presidency of the country. The constitution bars the president from holding any other post.
