MEXICO | Seeking gas from Trinidad. The energy ministers of Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago, Fernando Canales and Lenny Saith, announced last week in Mexico City the imminent signing of a strategic alliance in the field of hydrocarbons. Canales said there is 'a specific interest on Mexico's part to seek, in the short term, the supply of liquefied natural gas from Trinidad and Tobago'. He is trying to secure a flow of 500m cubic feet per day for the re-gasification plant at Manzanillo, on Mexico's Pacific coast.
