MEXICO: First 'top-level' drug boss extradition
On 16 September Francisco Rafael Arellano Félix reportedly became the first 'top-level' drugs boss (albeit retired) to have been formally extradited by the Mexican authorities to the US, after completing a prison sentence in Mexico. The Mexican government says that more extraditions of big drug bosses will follow, but have not disclosed any names or timetables for this.
