PERU: New drug strategy bears old stamp

The government of President Alan Garcí­a revealed its new drug strategy last week. It bears a remarkable resemblance to that pursued by the Toledo administration. One novelty, which Garcí­a will discuss with his US counterpart George W Bush when he visits the White House on 10 October, is Peru's willingness to extradite convicted drug traffickers to the US.
