NICARAGUA: Ortega inches closer

With less than two weeks to go before presidential and legislative elections Daniel Ortega, of the Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional (FSLN), is carving out a bigger and bigger lead in opinion polls with two suggesting - for the first time - that he has crossed the magic threshold of 35% required to win in the first round if he retains a five-point lead over his closest rival.
