BOLIVIA: Temperature rising again

Even by Bolivia's standards this next week promises to be politically fraught. The government of President Evo Morales is in open conflict with the prefects (governors) of six of the nine departments in Bolivia; the political opposition in the constituent assembly is up in arms about a vote which seriously diminishes its influence; and the government and the opposition-controlled senate are at loggerheads over a land reform bill.
