Region: A new World Bank (WB) report says that remittances to Latin America & the Caribbean will fall 6.9% in annual terms in 2009 to around US$60bn. In a worst case scenario, they could fall a steeper 9.5% to just under US$58bn. Inflows reached US$64bn in 2008 on WB figures, up 2.1% over 2007.
