Joint US-Dominican Republic military exercise

Dominican Republic: On 7 March a joint military training programme between US and Dominican Republic began. The four-day military exercise, codenamed “Fused Response", will be conducted by a special operations unit of US Southern Command (Southcom) and include counternarcotics and counterterrorism training. “Fused Response" was approved by Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, and will involve 250 military, from both the US and Dominican Republic armed forces.
