More doubts over Panama's judiciary

Development: On 2 April Panama's congressional credentials committee revealed that five complaints had been filed against Supreme Court (CSJ) Justice José Abel Almengor by lawyers and the Asamblea Ciudadana, an umbrella civil society group comprising 80 NGOs, accusing him of participating in a plot to oust the former attorney general, Ana Matilde Gómez, in 2010.
