MEXICO: PRD pursues Fox

President Vicente Fox, who furtively handed over to his successor at midnight on 30 November 2006, has broken with the wise tradition that ex-presidents should neither be seen nor heard. Unwisely, Fox has tried to give the appearance that he is still a political player. He also allowed a celebrity magazine to look round his luxurious ranch in Guanajuato. The opulence of the establishment, which Fox boasted had been recently improved, immediately triggered allegations that Fox was corrupt.
