ARGENTINA: Looking good

The economy grew at near double digit rates year-on-year in the first quarter. One sign that the government believes that the strength of the economy will be a big plus in the campaign is the decision by Cristina Fernández, the president, to pick Amado Boudou, the comparatively orthodox, but utterly loyal, economy minister, as her running mate in her bid for re-election as president in October.
