Santos's first diplomatic loss

Development: On 16 May, the Colombian foreign ministry announced it had formally accepted the 12 May resignation of José Fernando Bautista, the Colombian ambassador to Venezuela designated by President Juan Manuel Santos on 10 August 2010 as he re-launched diplomatic relations with his Venezuelan counterpart, President Hugo Chávez.
