REGION: Caribbean trailing Latam neighbours

The single most-striking conclusion from the just-released 2010-2011 Economic Survey of Latin America and the Caribbean is how different, and worse, the economic experience of the Caribbean is from the rest of Latin America, with the partial exception of the mainland territories of Belize, Suriname, and Guyana where the experience is more in line with the rest of Latin America.
