Economic problems loom

Macro-economically, Mexico looks much more like a sickly Anglo-Saxon economy coping with the aftermath of a consumption boom and now facing weak demand rather than  a Latin American commodity producer (like Brazil or Chile) trying desperately to keep domestic demand under control. The big difference with the Anglo economies is that while they were living beyond their means in the early 2000s Mexico’s economy was barely growing.
