EL SALVADOR : Lagging

The economic outlook for 2012 is not encouraging. The UN’s Economic Commission for Latin America (Eclac/Cepal) is forecasting that the economy will again be the slowest growing in the region, registering only 2% growth in 2012 after 1.4% growth in 2011. Even Cuba, according to Eclac/Cepal is growing (and will grow) faster than El Salvador.
