GUATEMALA : Pérez Molina bets on FDI

The main economic goal of the new government of President Otto Pérez Molina, which took office on 14 January, is to make the economy more attractive to foreign investors. If this happens, the economy will create the jobs that may take the rate of violence down. The economy needs to create about 200,000 jobs each year for young people entering the labour force.
