Development: On 31 January a well known Peruvian security analyst, Jaime Antezana, reported that members of the Sendero Luminoso (SL) faction led by ‘Camarada Artemio’ had distributed leaflets asking the government led by President Ollanta Humala to call an official ceasefire so as to discuss “social peace”.
