Peru| Record exports. On 7 February Peru’s minister of tourism and foreign trade, José Luis Silva, revealed that Peruvian exports in 2011 reached US$45.7bn, a 28% year-on-year increase and a new record. Silva pointed out that non-traditional exports accounted for US$10.15bn, a 32% year-on-year increase and “another record for products with a higher added value”. He said that the ministry expects exports to reach US$49.32bn this year.
