Development: On 21 February, during a book launch that coincided with the 10th anniversary of the end of the last peace talks (1998-2002) between the Colombian state and the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc), President Juan Manuel Santos said that his administration was neither interested in “partial cease fires, nor in temporary public circuses with peace”.
