Supreme court rules on land survey. On 21 February Paraguay’s supreme court ruled that a local Alto Paraná judge, Rafael Jacobo, will be in charge of carrying out the official survey of lands in the Ñacunday area. The survey had initially been carried out by the military which, local landowners complained, had been influenced by the landless farmers.
