Dead men do tell tales, at least to US journalist Naomi Adelson, who has turned to records of repatriation of bodies to Mexico to learn more about patterns of emigration to the US. Working from data compiled by the Mexican consulate in San Francisco (which attends to northern California), she writes in El Tecolote that over the past five years an average of 18 bodies a month were shipped back to Mexico.
