TBA investigation includes officials. On 5 March Judge Claudio Bonadío, who is overseeing an investigation into the fatal 22 February rail crash in Buenos Aires, forbade several functionaries and members of the operating company, Trenes de Buenos Aires (TBA), from travelling outside the county. Included on the list is the federal transport secretary, Juan Pablo Schiavi, the rail transport secretary, Antonio Luna, and the caretaker national commissioner for transport regulation, Eduardo Sícaro. Claudio Cirigliano, one of the owners of TBA, is also on the list. Separately, Gregorio Dalbón, the attorney representing those wounded and maimed in the crash, appealed a 2 March decision by Bonadío to approve the state’s request to be included as a plaintiff in the case. Dalbón accused Bonadío of a “flagrant violation of the penal code” and requested that he be dismissed from the case. The federal chamber of appeals will rule on the matter.
