MEXICO | US relations. The US Vice President, Joseph Biden, met first President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa and then the three main candidates for the Mexican presidency on 5 March. Biden, a Roman Catholic, ended his day in Mexico City at the shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe. He then went on to meet Central American leaders in Honduras on 6 March.
