Ecuador-Peru | SL member captured in Ecuador. On 20 March Ecuador’s interior ministry reported that a Peruvian national, Luis Gelacio, an alleged member of the Peruvian terrorist group Sendero Luminoso (SL), was arrested in Naranjal, Guayas. According to the interior ministry, Gelacio, who in 1998 was identified as a member of an SL column that attacked a police station in San Jacinto, Tumbes (Peru), was working as radio presenter after assuming the identity of Ricardo Reyes, a deceased Ecuadorean national.
