Brazil extradites `Hizbollah fundraiser' to Paraguay

Most unusually, the Brazilian government has granted the extradition to Paraguay of Assad Ahmad Mohamad Barakat, accused of being the main fundraiser in the Triple Border area for the Lebanese party Hizbollah. Barakat is of Lebanese origin. What is unusual is that Barakat has a Brazilian wife and children, a situation that has traditionally been a shield against extradition.
