New PLC president. On 29 April the opposition Partido Liberal Constitucionalista (PLC) of former president Arnoldo Alemán (1997-2002) held a party summit in which it picked María Haydée Osuna, a former PLC deputy and ex head of customs, as the president of its leadership committee, taking over from Jorge Castillo Quant.
