Police concerns raised by Bolivia’s deputy minister of citizen security, retired General Miguel Vásquez [WR-12-20], have since intensified. Last week President Evo Morales was forced to replace General Jorge Santiesteban, his sixth police chief in as many years, over corruption allegations.
