Gas exports to neighbours reaches peak. According to Bolivia’s state-owned oil company, YPFB, Bolivian natural gas exports to Brazil and Argentina reached their peak in May with an average of 49.7m cubic metres (mcm) being exported a day. This figure is 26% more than the amount of exports in the same period of 2011. In a statement YPFB said that it sold on average some 30mcm of gas a day to Brazil, the largest market for Bolivian gas. This amount was very close to the contractual limit of 31mcm that regulates the gas exchanges between the two countries.
