Development: On 11 July Víctor Lenín Chiriboga, 67, since 2008 the president of the NGO Junta Civil of Manabí and the secretary general of the union of professional drivers of Manta (2002-2012), was gunned down by two men on a motorbike shortly after he left his home in the early hours of the morning.
