Has the bubble burst for Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff?

Not if public opinion polls are anything to go by. Indeed, according to the most recent (mid June) national survey by pollsters Ibope on behalf of the national confederation of industry (CNI), 77% of Brazilians approve of the way in which President Rousseff governs and 72% have confidence in her. Moreover, 59% rated the Rousseff government as ‘good’ or ‘optimal’, its best result yet since taking office in January 2010. And President Rousseff is pulling out all the stops to keep it that way.
