PERU:Humala’s government makes more premature changes

Under constant pressure to address Peru’s ongoing social conflicts, President Ollanta Humala has conducted a second major (third in total) cabinet reshuffle within a couple of days and only just before completing his first year in office. He replaced the prime minister and no fewer than five ministers. The constitute another sign that the Humala administration is still in the process of defining what path to follow in order to promote Peru’s economic development while at the same time maintaining social peace.
