COLOMBIA | Energy connection plans with Panama indefinitely suspended.  The Colombia-Panama electricity interconnection society (ICP) has announced that it has indefinitely suspended the tender process open to energy generating firms interested in participating in the proposed bilateral energy integration process due to the fact that certain conditions necessary for the project’s viability have not been met. The US$500m interconnection project is promoted by the governments of Colombia and Panama which created the ICP, comprised of Colombia’s public-private Interconexión S.A. (ISA) and Panama’s state-owned electricity transmission company, Etesa.
