SECURITY | Head of dissident Erpac faction captured in Meta. On 16 September Colombia’s central directorate of the judicial police and intelligence (Dijin) reported the capture of ‘Flaco Freddy’ (Rubén Antonio Navarro Caicedo), the leader of the faction of the Ejército Revolucionario Popular Anticomunista de Colombia (Erpac) that did not demobilise in December 2011. According to police information, Navarro now faces “numerous” charges of homicide, narco-trafficking and conspiracy to commit a crime.
