ARGENTINA: Christine Vs Cristina

Both are lawyers and politicians. One was born in Paris; the other heads the Argentine government from the ‘Paris of South America’. This week, however, Christine Lagarde, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and President Cristina Fernández were on opposing teams, competing in a public verbal confrontation that was equally lacking in economic arguments as it was exceeding in football metaphors.
