MEXICO-BRAZIL: Peña Nieto pushes the re-set button

Mexico’s President-elect Enrique Peña Nieto said he had a “cordial and very productive” first meeting with Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff last week. With Mexico’s economic star in the ascendant, and Brazil’s supposedly in decline  - at least in the (ever-fickle) view of speculative international financial capital - Peña Nieto pressed home in Brazil Mexico’s commitment to a liberal free trade agenda and stressed the need for deeper regional economic integration.
