Financial superintendence takes over InterBolsa

Development: On 2 November the financial superintendence (SF), the Colombian State agency charged with overseeing the financial system, issued resolution 1795 of 2012, taking over the largest stock broker in the country, InterBolsa, because the latter had been unable to pay a Col$20bn (US$10.93m) intraday loan to the Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) due to “a temporary liquidity restriction”.
